"Let me warm the car up for 20 minutes so I can see out the windows to take you to school" i am from Ohio and have said this to my kids LOL. I love it here and I have to say; I do not flip out by tropical storms, the blue hairs scare the hell out of me with their driving and I hate the lovebugs.

Believe it or not, I - a lifelong Floridian - have both a basement and a closet by the front door. I live in the sand ridge that runs up the middle of the western / central part of state. I live on a hill.

Never had a basement before we built this house. Never SAW a basement in Florida before but I have since found out us ground dwellers are out there. Who you say is "we?" Well me and my Yankee husband who knew what a basement and coat closet were.
