One of the advantages of the fan fiction is most of the stories don't fade to black like the books do.... :blushing:

Exactly why I began reading fanfic! :P

Shell, link some of your stuff! I've written a one-shot and am working on three other stories. We'll see if they get finished.

You most definitely are not the only one reading fanfic. I'm super into FFn.

It was nice to see your recommendations. I have tons of my own suggestions if you need any fic recs, and maybe one day I'll come clean about my fandom alter-ego here. heehee

I have read 2 so far. Seducing Ms. Swan was so cute I loved it. I just finished High Anxiety after reading for basically 2 days straight only stopping to feed my kids lol Man this one sent me on emotional roller coaster. I think it's because of TOM but I cried so hard at the end. I loved it too, but there were some serious things happening in that story. I'm happy with ending though and the big pink house ... that was perfect.

I'm curious... have any of you read some of the most popular / top fanfics (most people who have been into fanfic for a while know these):

The Office by tby789 (pulled) - quite 'citrusy' lol
Master of the Universe by Snowqueens Icedragon (now published as 50 Shades of Grey) - lemon heavy w/ BDSM nature

I could name literally TONS more. I haven't been into Twilight and fanfic that long, in the scheme of things, but I started with the 'classics.'
I read fast and often. lol ;)

I've read & loved both those. I posed a link to the one I have posted, it's not in the league of those two though

I'm going to have to read the OPs when I get home. I haven't read fan fic since junior high... It just became so poorly written and all about slash that I wasn't interested. I want to read things that are still true to the character and their personality, ya know?

What does "sensitive" mean in the OP?

One of the one's I read "High Anxiety" wasn't true to the characters. It was a totally different story that just used the names and they were all human, but I still loved it. Whatever floats your boat I guess. In response to the "sensitive" the High Anxiety one include topics such as date rape, suicide, drug use, and detailed descriptions of sex.

Yep... sometimes fics aren't 'true to the characters' at all. They can be canon, or totally OOC (out of canon/character.) There are tons of abbreviations and a whole lingo for fics! Because so many people writing have all sorts of different interests, there are so many types of Twilight Fanfiction. There's humor, crackfics, fluff, angst, smut, fetish, dom/sub, romantic, completely canon, vampire, all human, alternate universes, high school settings, adult settings/ages (Edward as a 28 year old CEO being very common), slash, femmeslash, canon couples, non canon pairings, character death, sensitive topics, different POV's, spinoffs (post BD Jacob & Renesmee, for example), etc. I'm probably forgetting to mention many others. Some are incredibly well written and the authors were offered to publish their fics, just by changing the names of some things. This is usually best suited for the unique fics with lots of OOC stuff. Stephenie encourages fanfic throughout the fandom, and even wrote her own before (anonymously... I read it and it was a Rosalie POV set during New Moon.)

I'm open to reading many things but there are certain categories I am not interested in at all. I am partial to E/B fics though. (Written like that, it means the character names... so that means I generaly like to read Edward & Bella pairings.)

If anyone wants a link to a particular fic or needs it emailed, please let me know. I'm willing to send fics out that I have on my home computer.

Maybe one day I'll share mine! ;)

Have fun learning about fanfics! It can become an addiction.

I've read Wide Awake -- Fantastic story!

Another favorite I've read is Emancipation Proclimation which I believe is being published into a real book (obviously the names will change). I had it sent to me via pdf by a friend. If you want to read it, message me an email address and I'll email it to you. It's an extremely long book - fyi.

Another good one (also been published) is Master of the Universe. It's another I'd have to send you via PDF due to it being pulled off the web for publishing.

KBrenOH - I emailed lhurtubise MotU already, but I didn't send her EP.
I have it but hadn't read that one yet. I think I shied away from the description. Since you mentioned it's a favorite, maybe I'll check it out!

It has some serious material to it but I was enthralled with it! I definitely recommend reading it.

I haven't started Master of the Universe yet, but I would like a copy of EP ... When I get a chance to start reading hardcore again I need to have my fics lined up
