I found a new store a couple of weeks ago in downtown Kansas City - Creative Coldsnow. Im fortunate enough to live in a major city with a big art college so theres always someplace having a sale. But this place.... took my breath away! Its stacked to the brim with amazingness!

lol. I took a pic of the paint section. My creative juices start flowing the second I get in there! Last visit I bought a big bunch of linen and some stretcher bars. A couple of brushes and some manga stuff.

For layout and panache Flax Art on Market St., SF can't be beat. But their prices can... they're kinda high. They have a truly amazing selection of specialty paper. But generally I shop a lot at Utrecht Art both brick-and-mortar and online. It's hard to beat their prices.

If you want calligraphy, bookbinding and illumination supplies, my favorite is John Neal Books:

followed closely by Paper Ink Arts:

Both are total wallet vacuums for me.

I don't live close to a decent art shop so I do all of my shopping online. Daniel Smith often has free shipping deals and I like their paints.
