Rumor has it that each season will contain a new family. I heard this before the show even started. I hope it doesn't happen that way I am so attached to the cast. But maybe with all the critical acclaim and the big ratings, they can get the current cast to stay. *fingers crossed*

    I heard that as well, but if we find out how the house works in this season, will it even be as interesting anymore? Like if a new family moves in, and we already know how the house works, won't we kinda know the basis for why people are acting the way they are?

    Image how large the cast might be by season 5 if the families from the previous season did stay as ghosts.

    I read the only reason they got Jessica Lange was because she only had to commit to 13 episodes. But if she wins a G.Globe maybe she will stay. I think this show far exceded anyone's expectation. I know it did mine.

    I will look for the article my wife sent me about this - it talked about that original idea, that each season would be a new family. In the interview I read, the producer (writer?) stated that was the original intention, and even if they did hold to that idea, he pointed out that characters can be part of the show whether dead or alive.

    thats my issue lots of this season is learning and figuring things out so how could they hold are interest?

    That would be interesting. It would mean a whole new cast too though.

    Wouldn't this mean a whole new tv series? i think if they were to continue they would need some part of this series to carry through, to tie it all together. It will be interesting to see what happens and what they do next series :D
