A lot of people are confused when I tell them I now eat clean. I love the look on their face, because it gives me the opportunity to enlighten them.

Eating clean to me means knowing exactly what is in my food. It involves making intelligent and healthy choices regarding the type of meals I prepare. Wholegrain over white. Salad over loaded mashed potatoes etc, etc. I don't do it all the time, but I try to.

well in a basic sense to me - eating clean is choosing foods that you can either pick or has a face...choosing foods that are whole or if you are buying something "packaged" it is made of whole foods with no preservatives or weird additives...

For me it's about eating things without the scary ingredients - if it contains something I can't buy off a shelf to put in my own food, I'm not eating it.

To me it means trying to cook more and cook using 'whole' foods or minimally processed foods as possible. I try to buy processed foods from home-made places like a REAL bakery or companies that care about their products and don't want to add a whole lot of 'stuff' to their foods. I am not perfect but I strive for betterment every year of my diet. This week I made my own alphabet soup and it is sooo simply tasty. If I didn't have to commute so long etc I would probably cook even more!

Being able to pronounce the ingredients in my food, and know exactly what they are.
No lab-made chemically processed crap, just pure FOOD in my food.
    Fresh, organic veggies/fruits/grains, etc.

    Homemade cooking!!!
