This is probably the worst time to start something like this, but does anyone have any tips on how to get through the holidays without busting? I also have 2 birthdays in December (one being my own) and I don't want to undo the work I have done so far. Help!!:embarassed: :ohwell:

Moderation! If you don't let yourself have anything, you're setting yourself up for failure. Have 1/4 of a piece of cake that everyone else is having. Try a cookie.

It's okay to still enjoy the things you enjoyed before, just enjoy much less of it.
  • I know there isn't much time during the busy holiday season but try and get an extra work out or long brisk walk in a few more times a week. maybe do it just before the party, I know i don't feel like eating a lot after I exercise. But don't deprive your self of your favorite foods just be sure to eat them in smaller portions and then I avoid things that i can eat any other day like the mashed potatoes I save it for pie.

I am going to try really hard to eat everything in moderation. However if (ok, when) that fails I will just have to work out more to make up for it. :) I say that as I sit at work drinking a very yummy hot chocolate that I do NOT need and really don't have the calories for. I will be on that stupid elliptical all night tonight. Blah.
