    There is the Go! St Louis halloween 10k. And, they are doing a 1 mile/ 5k to celebrate the opening of the 141 extension.

    I found out about it after I got a letter sent home from my kids high school about the school's 5k fund raiser. (it will be my first 5k ever) The link connected me to bigriverrunning and I was totally BLOWN AWAY by my choices!

    Hey is anyone training for Go! St. Louis? Or Mo' Cowbell? Or just running in general in local 5k's?

    A friend and I run nearly every Saturday morning in St. Charles. Working up to a steady 10 miles and eventually 13.1 in time for the Go! St. Louis run in April 6th.

    We run about a 11:30/mile. Always welcome some other guys who are looking to train or just run for fun.

    Okay, not St. Louis, BUT. . . The Christie Clinic 5k/10k/half/marathon is in Champaign/Urbana this weekend (April 27th). It's HUGE! I think there's still openings, too.

    5 mile run/ walk
    .................they did have cookies at the end so I had a bunch.
