I'm stupidly excited about tomorrow. I rearranged my work schedule and everything for this. I'm finishing our tshirts today and just keep telling myself it's okay to be this stoked about a series meant for young adults... :P

I known many people older than you, myself included, who are totally stoked for tomorrow. It really is ok! I am giddy as a tween with her first crush. I wish I could have taken off to go to the midnight show but I did that for Eclipse (did the marathon) and have recently had to miss work to take my mom for surgery. I am seeing it Friday at 7:10 pm.

Have fun and please show us your shirts!
BTW I love The Beatles tatts.
  • Thanks, gals. I feel better knowing I'm not alone in my OMFG I CANNOT WAIT spazziness. :P

    This is my sister's shirt:

My sister's used to be Adrenaline Rush (you can Google it) but since we met Peter Facinelli and we both love to giggle/poorly imitate Edward crying out for "CARLISLE" during the infamous ballet studio scene, we went with that this year. Yeah, we're super nerdy about this.

I have not done the midnight show before. I finally called someone I knew was a Twihard and am tagging along with her and her daughters. I'm giddy as a school girl too..

This reminds me of something I read a while back......
Beatlemania. Author Barbara Ehrenreich has described how Beatles fans would “sob uncontrollably while screaming, ‘I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die,’ or, more optimistically, the name of their favourite Beatle until the onset of unconsciousness or laryngitis. Girls peed in their pants, fainted or simply collapsed from the emotional strain”.

I am not above fainting, but I will wear my Depends to ensure I can pee freely without anyone being the wiser.

I have 2 friends -- ages 67 and 44 -- who flew to LA to attend the convention and camp out for the premiere. There's nothing stupid about it! We all need some fun in our lives. Would a guy rearrange his work scedule to see a World Series game or an NFL playoff, or a World Cup match?

If I'm drinkin', you'd better be prepared for some craziness. Can you imagine what we'd be like if we were tipsy and watching Edward?

bwah! speaking of peeing in my pants, excuse me, please...!
  • Thanks for fixing my post. I'm dumb. lol

Omg. I am laughing so hard at this thread. My sister and I were talking about sneaking some of those little bottles of wine with us tonight but decided us being tipsy plus Edward would get us kicked out. >.>

Thats an interesting idea - sneaking in the small bottle of wine....hmmm, but I agree maybe not the best way to view the movie on opening weekend. :) I'll save that for when I can watch in the privacy of my own home!
