Theme: Stars - need help with placement and design

My husband and I are wanting to get star tattoos (not matching...each our own but both stars) to signify the "new" "rebirth" theme that stars have. This is both our second marriages and we have a daughter and my two older children.

Anyway, I'm thinking some kind of "trailing" star design but nothing massive. Have looked but nothing strikes me just yet. I have 3 tattoos already (tramp stamp, inner left wrist, inner left ankle) You can find me on ratemyink.com with the same userid.

I'm thinking either across my foot, over the shoulder. Don't really want the bulk of it to be on my back because I want to be able to see it without looking in a mirror. LOL

Suggestions or ideas where to look?

Fun idea & what a great bonding moment for both of you!! Shoulders & feet seem to be common now for stars but I'm sure you'll add your own flair to it. Maybe curving around your hips or down your sides? Depends on the message you want to send both with the style of the ink & your placement.. if you want it to be soft, bold, feminine, aggressive etc.. Best bet is to find an artist you'd like to work with (most won't do a sketch for something elaborate for you unless they're the one to do it) & bring in some pics for a consultation. Expect to be comfortable with them seeing you in your underwear/bikini in case they want to play with a visual of placement, & trust their artistic instincts & input. Good luck & post pics!!
