So because I'm at risk for GD, I was told not to eat more than my maintenance calories. I'm week 14, weighed myself this morning and have gained a pound. Now this isn't an emergency because I'm exactly where I started, but my question is, can the baby still make you gain weight even if you're eating your maintenance calories. My activity level hasn't decreased because I'm working and teaching keeps me on my toes! I've also continued to weight train and do ellipse/walking a couple times a week.

I rarely eat more than net 1100 calories a day and I've gained about 14 lb so far. I power walk 3-5 miles a day, 5 days a week. and for the most part, I don't indulge. I don't feel like I've gained anywhere other than in my tummy though.0

You are eating less than 1200 calories a day while being pregnant?
Pretty sure that would be less than what maintenance calories would be... I would try to net at least 1200 or more...0 -
my dr said net calories doesnt mean anything.
he told me that eating 1750 calories a day is enough even when exercizing, and i usually eat more than that.0
