Question about Pea Coats?

Ok...so it's not really asking if I could wear it... well, maybe, but I need a new coat since all of mine are huge. The thing is, I'm newly skinny (finally met my goal aftr 6 months of hard work) and I want to show that off. If I get a pea coat, do you think people would still be able to tell? I know this sounds super vain and I'm going to buy a pea coat anyways (ive had my eye on one for weeks and i finally have the money to buy it) but it's for Christmas pictures and this is the first Christmas I'm actually thin lol I don't want to look the same size on Christmas cards when I worked my *kitten* off (literally) all year...any advice on colors or styles that could help it not look so bulky?

meh.

I don't think you'd look too big or bulky if the coat fits well. I love peacoats. It's what I plan on wearing when I get down to goal. Personally I love the white ones. Might not be the best choice because it would be hard to keep clean. I also like bright colors like yellow or orange.

Pea coats are hip length, aren't they? I'd say wear some skinny jeans/ trousers and cool boots. Or a slim cut maxi skirt, or a mini with dark coloured tights and boots the same colour as the tights.

Or, do you need to wear a coat for your Christmas pics? How about a cute sweater, hat, gloves, scarf etc?

Love peacoats! Get one at about hip-length and it will show off your little waist!

I also have a longer red one that is belted around the waist and it flares out slightly, that's another great shape!

pea coats are awesome and usually they are tailored in a way that flatters your body. I like mine!

I usually get ones that cinch at the waist. I shop around to see which ones I like better that fit the best. They're made for all sorts of shapes and sizes so you'll probably have to try some on to see what shape/style is the best fit for you.

Military style pea coats are usually the most slenderizing. They button under the breast and Victoria's Secret has some really nice ones if you check out their website.

as far as coats go...pea coats are the most flattering....if you wanna go with something that will make you look even slimmer...try a fitted sweater :)

    hola...

hmm I think some are very slenderizing (?) I agree with the double brested ones, or military style. You know... with more buttons on the front, it will give the illusion of a thinner waste because the eyes will be more drawn there automatically. The ones that are mid thigh can still be very pretty because it will give the illusion that you are longer... (as long as its 'fit' on your waste) so you do not want something that is a straight seam from top to bottom.

n stick with classic colors... black *the color of the thin* and neutrals

have you thought of wearing a black turtle neck for pics??
