This Week's Challenge: Write a blog post. It should be about you. Anything about you. It'd be really cool if you posted a link here. If you want to keep it private, that's cool too. Use this an an opportunity to turn on the "self discovery channel". Do some serious reflection into who you are and/ or why you are here and/ or who you want to be. Looking forward to reading the ones that are public!!

Don't forget to add your PERSONAL CHALLENGES to the group boards! We can only help to support you with them if we know what they are! What do you guys think about having a Personal Challenges topic? That way it can be tracked and discussed mroe easily! I'm going to get one started and if we think it's lame it can be scrapped!

A good rule of thumb is to post weights in the sticky'd threads. :)

Thanks for checking in! Any suggestions for how to make it less confusing??

    My Weekly Check In:

    Starting Weight: 179.5 lbs
    Challenge Goal Weight: 165 lbs

    First Week: 178.5
    Second Week: 176.8
    Third Week: 176.4
    Fourth Week: 175.4 lbs
    Fifth Week: 175.0 lbs
    Sixth Week: 174.2 lbs
    Seventh Week: 174.8
    Eighth Week: 173.6 lbs
    Ninth Week: 173.2 lbs
    Tenth Week: 172.8 lbs

    Twelvth Week: 171.0 lbs
    Thirteenth Week: 168.8 lbs
    Fourteenth Week: 169.0 lbs
    Fifteenth Week: 167.2 lbs
    Total Challenge Loss: 11.7 lbs

Weight Loss Remaining to Goal: 2.2 lbs

Ooops... I forgot to add my weekly weigh in on Wednesday! How embarrassing would that have been! I am down 1.8 lbs this week which is pretty huge for me. I know some of it is that damn dehydration again. I really got out of hand this week, so I am expecting to have another gain next week. But honestly, even including that up-and-down bit, I am still losing at a much steadier (and larger) pace than I was several weeks ago. I think upping my calories to 1700 was a fabulous decision and I am really happy with how things are progressing. On the down side, I won't get my BodyMedia Fit until NEXT Thursday! I am so grumpy about that! I was really looking forward to throwing that baby on and learning about how things were going. Oh well, patience is key I suppose. Only 2.2 lbs remaining until I reach my Valentine's Goal! With ~11 weeks left, I really can't wait to see what numbers I pull out in the end. I am really hoping for 5 more lbs lost total, which would take me to just over 162, and to a BMI of 23.9. That would be a pretty sweet victory. I'm only 17.2 lbs away from my end goal (which was sort of chosen at random) and there is a definite light at the end of the tunnel. Whoop!!

Weekly Success: Hmm... I haven't had an awesome week... how about, staying under calories?
Weekly Struggle: Water! I am back OFF the wagon!
This Week’s Personal Challenge: Get off of my *kitten*. It's getting old aready. I am sick of feeling lazy.

My struggles: My goodness where to begin? Well, I've had company in my house for the last 10 days and they finally left. So getting my workouts in was pretty much a no go. I refuse to work out in front of my father-in-law who criticized everything I do. He'd probably watch my work outs and say crap. UGH, he even had the audacity to tell me that I'm a terrible mother because I let my 9 month old sleep in bed with me, ON thanksgiving. I ate like a frikin monster that day JUST to keep my mouth shut. Oh yes, and then Thanksgiving....the food day. I ate a little bit of everything...but I'm not used to eating that much anymore and I got bloated, nauseated, and then ended up in my bed for 30 minutes trying to get over it lol! Its a good/bad thing.

My strengths: I was able to keep busy enough with cleaning vigorously over the week that I actually maintained the weight.

My Weekly Promise to Myself: I'm re-starting 30DS. I have the right shoes, right bra, right clothes...I'm gonna attack it now that I can. I'm doing 7 days in a row starting Sunday with my sister-in-law. I'm gonna kick these last few pounds to 1-derland in the butt!

    My goals:
Under 200---3lbs away (MY NOVEMBER GOAL)
    50% lost---- 17.5lbs away
    V-Day:
    21.5lbs away

You did a great job in the face of adversity. That, in itself, is a victory!

"This week I'm attempting to focus my workouts. By this, I mean using certain workouts to target certain areas. I will use my treadmill for cardio, Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum for Wii Abs program for ab work and EA Sports active 2 for strength. I believe this will keep me from getting bored and uses, what I perceive to be, the best programs for the corresponding areas :)"
FAILED!!! I honestly can't even remember if I worked out this week :frown:

Had a really bad week this week. I wrote a blog post. I don't think it's quite what Jersey was going for, but it was all that I had at the time. Here's the link http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/SpecialK_Flett

Had one bright spot. Hubby and I went on a date night. I got to wear my red dress and discovered that I have curves again! I felt super sexy all night.

Hoping this week will be an improvement over last.

    Have a great week everyone!

11/26/11 - 143 lbs - that's 1 lb lost this week  particularly awesome since it's been quite a while since I last saw a loss on the scale (early Oct?).

    Starting Weight: 146.5
Challenge Goal Weight: 135 - not sure whether I can make this?

Strengths: fairly good choices over the holiday weekend = no gain

Struggles: emotions hit hard this week - surrounded by loving family but still struggling with this heartbreak over my ex  tonight I bought Circus Peanuts (yes the orange marshmallow candy, one of my all-time fave's) with the urge to eat away the pain... but fortunately was able to exert some self-control before the entire bag was consumed

Weekly Success: 10k race PR at the Turkey Trot - 57:51 :drinker: this is over 3 min improvement from my previous 10k best :drinker: my weight loss may not be going as planned these past 6 weeks but my running seems to improve after all  also my parents told me I was "looking trim" when decked out in my race gear (spandex)

This Week’s Personal Challenge: get back to daily food tracking - haven't been logging over the holiday. Tomorrow is a new day!

Edit: As for our group Challenge this week - didn't have a chance to do the blog. I'm not so tech savvy, don't think I even know how to do this? Or perhaps I can make an effort to journal this week - low tech handwritten blog
