From a recent EW interview with Robert Kirkman...
Can you tease next week’s midseason finale?

There’s a lot of big stuff out there that we will be wrapping up to a certain extent. In the writer’s room we were fully aware that we were coming up on this hiatus, so we definitely wrote to it. I think people are going to be a little shocked.

    A brief preview of Sunday's episode: http://youtu.be/OgOFEzfRKfM

Also, some major unconfirmed spoilers -- which I'm hoping turn out to be true -- can be found here: http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/TheWatchtower/news/?a=50184
  • I'm not watching any spoilers. But, I ****in' hate that Shane guy so I'm hoping Andrea gets bit, starts giving him a *kitten*, and suddenly he gets bit and they both turn into zombies and run around until someone puts an arrow in their heads.

I feel the same about Andrea and Dale. I like Shane.

That was soo good. I predicted the ending tho. It had to happen that way but they shold have told them. They shouldn't have had to find out THAT way.

Not as shocking as I thought it should have been. The ending leaves me wanting for February.

I'm glad it was Rick who ultimately shot her. That will buy him back a lot of leadership points.

I LOVED this episode! It was about time someone took charge. I was so sick of hearing them talk about Sophia. Shane, Andrea and Daryl are the leaders in the show recently, Rick has done nothing. They are thinking of survival and using their heads, and Rick is always thinking emotionally.

Shane flipped out too much I cant stand him. I am dieing for FEB now lmao I knew when I heard that last groan that it had to be sophia it was sad but i am glad Rick was the one to kill her. Shane put them in danger doing what he did no one knew how many there were in there i think he needs to go he annoys me.I am glad Daryl was there to stop shopias mom from going to her, and loved how glen asked his girl if it was ok to go shoot. I felt bad for hershel i mean i hate he had them in there but they def do no tknow what it was like in the real world and I felt bad for them for how it went down...no matter what right or wrong it is hershels land. he helped them and then they come in and take his land over. cant wait till feb

I agree about Shane, I really can't stand him anymore. The ending of this episode was def dramatic.. you could just see the heartbreak all over Hershel's face.

def i feel for them cause in a way they have no idea how it really is they weren't at cdc all they saw or heard was the media which was so long ago lol They def humanized the zombies made them feel like humans not just dead walkers. Specially shopia its funny there is not usually sadness in horror but i felt sad lol And we know no one is safe now seeing as they did kill her off. I see Shane has just flipped and he is the one who is putting the whole group in danger. My mom and sister hate him and that his name is Shane cause I named my son shane lmao

SUCH a satisfying episode! The spoilers were spot on. Holy cats!
  • I'm glad it was Rick who ultimately shot her. That will buy him back a lot of leadership points.

Rick had to shoot her because he felt responsible for what happened to her.

What an amazing episode! I really don't think it was Shane's call to open the barn. I'm pretty sure they won't be allowed to stay at the farm now. Hershell is going to lose his ****! I think this is to going to cause a massive breakdown for him.

Sophia in the barn was pretty predictable, but still a good ending. I also think it made Shane and the others realize what Hershel was feeling about shooting the walkers. It's all well and good to see them as animals when you didn't know them in life, but as soon as Sophia walked out I think the rest of them realized a little bit WHY Hershel thought the way that he did. Very dramatic, a good finale before the break.

Shane needs to arrange an "accident" for Herschel. then they can stay as long as they want.

Can Dale be included in that accident? He annoys the crap out of me.

Dale: a combination of his love for humanity mixed with some mild form of dimensia. . . hiding the guns?! WTH!!
Shane: is a ticking bomb, he makes sense sure, but he is seriously flying off the deep-end. . . still, it makes for great drama!!
Rick: needs to sock Hershel in the face
Hershel: needs to be socked by Rick in the face
Andrea: less *****y, thankfully. She's finding a better balance. It was probably good for her that she shot a friend, and shot some walkers. On a side note, if I was going to get some, I'd get it from Shane too ( He's delish!)
Glen: He is growing some, wooowhooo!! I have loved him the whole time though.
Daryl: I have never had so much love for a back woods redneck!

Ultimately, I am glad they found Sophia, and I was pretty sure she was a walker the whole time. Glad Rick shot her though. They are going to do something to Shane, but they won't boot him. He is too much of the drama!!!

 Angry I have to wait until February for more!!! Grrrrrr!!! :explode:

OMG me too, I kept hoping for zombie groans when he was in the swamp!

Who thinks Lori's baby is really Shane's?

It seemed that they were kind of hinting at that. She would know if it was or not if she had gotten her period.

She made the comment to Shane "even if it is yours, it will never be yours". So i don't think even SHE is sure.

I thought the same exact thing!! Why did he think that was a good idea?!?

Overall I like the episode. The ending was awesome. I thought Daryl would be the one to kill Sophia since he was the one most invested in finding her. I'm glad it was Rick though because that definitely puts him firmly back in charge. I hope they leave the farm soon. I personally would not want to stay somewhere that guns were not allowed. It definitely would not make me feel protected.

Did anyone catch the preview for episode 8? Someone said something to the effect of "no one else needs to get hurt". Do they find new people or is there some big showdown?! Hmmm...the next 2 almost 3 months are going to drive me insane!!!

Even though I saw the Sophia thing coming, it was still just a tad heartbreaking. As a mother, watching her come out kinda rubbing her eyes like she was sleeping then go all zombie on them. I hope they tell the backstory of what happened to her somehow.

On "Talking Dead", after the show, they explained that it was Otis that would corral the walkers. he found Sophia and put her in the barn. Shane killed Otis before Otis had a chance to hear about Sophia, and tell them that she was in the barn. (sad trombone)

They also talked about how they filmed the Sophia leaving the barn scene without the zombie makeup too, and toyed with the idea of the group seeing her healthy. interesting idea.

I literally gasped when Sophia left the barn. I thought "oh did the wife come out yet...the brother?". When I saw the little sneakers and rolled up pants...insta tears. :(
