Introduction and Motivation

I am a single woman living in the Central Florida/Orlando area. I am looking to become a healthier and more fit me without spending lot of money on gym membership fees and personal trainers. I am not a physical trainer. I am not a nutrition specialist. My only goal in forming this group is to provide a support network for individuals residing in my local area; and - hopefully - are willing to come together at a local community park not to exercise but to have fun parting taking in physical activities and sports. It is time to move beyond the comfort of our living rooms with thirty-minute workout DVDs (because we may feel embarrassed) to the outdoors.:flowerforyou:

    Hi Kris! I am in the greater Tampa Bay area and just joined MFP Loving it so far. I usually feel so embarrassed to go outside an exercise but I do it anyway! I take my boys and we just GO! Thats the only way its gonna work! I am doing the 30 day shred DVD too! Loving it so far!!

  • Hello Everyone! My name is Jade. I'm a 23 year old mother to an amazing 3 year old daughter. I'm currently over weight, and I'm very uncomfortable with my body. I was the fit girl in high school that was involved in many sports, but every since I had my daughter my weight has been a battle. I can't seem to lose the weight no matter what I do, and I'm stuck at the same weight. I hate my body, and it makes me cry. I can't seem to find what works for my body, and I wish I could because I'm tired of this. This weight is affecting my health, and I don't like it.

    I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in this group.

    My name is Tracy. Im 31 and reside in Titusville. Its about 40 minutes east of Orlando. I started my journey at 275 and have lost 17lbs so far. My goal is to get down to 170ish.


    I have a gym membership and enjoy using the treadmill and elliptical crosstrainer. My gym even has an indoor pool and Ive used that as well. On those days where i don't feel like going, i do my workout dvd in my room.

    My workouts are all about variety. I hate getting bored. :laugh:

    My name is Diana. I live on the east side of Orlando. I'm a 38 year old mother of 3, an author and an inspirational speaker who needs to motivate myself into getting healthier.

    I work closely with the Victim Service Center of Central Florida and together we are putting together the 2nd annual Ride to Reach Sexual Assault and Crime Prevention Awareness Event that was inspired by my story. It will be on April 20th in Avalon Park and I would really like to get healthier by then. It's a bicycle event and I am expected to ride in it. What I'm looking for is the motivation to get off my butt and actually exercise. Maybe an exercise partner to encourage me.
