Has anyone been watching this Channel 4 documentary? The 3rd episode is on tonight at 10pm GMT

It follows 7 people's experiences as they change gender. I have found it to be a fascinating insight in to a world that I am largely unfamiliar with and it has been well received. From what i've seen on twitter the comments while the programme has been airing have been mostly postive. Hopefully it will go towards helping change people's perceptions. So far it has been funny, thoughtful, emotional and insightful.

I love it, it is certainly the best insight I have seen- I've also realised that I am most attracted to very androgynous people (fox... I think he is really hot as a woman, although he would probably hate to hear that...) but its made me ask my friends (gay and straight) would you date a trans person: they all said no, which really saddened me, I know I certainly would, but that is hardly a surprise considering what attracts me!

I'm loving this program, it's actually very sensitively done. I can't quite believe the idiots who won't give drew a job because she's trans I mean that surely can't be legal!

I saw this listed in the Radio Times, but so seldom watch live TV. Have been meaning to catch-up with 4-OD.

I don't know any transgendered folks personally... but have actually found many tg-men to be darn handsome buggers and were I not legally betrothed, I would have no issue with dating a tg-man although most seem to prefer women :ohwell: :brokenheart:

I wish more folks were able to see the beauty of someone's heart rather than the superficial "exterior", be it in terms of physical attraction or simply giving a person a break in life (in friendship, employment, education or whatever).

I used to house share with Fox's sister...it's a huge thing for them all to go through and while I wish them all luck and hope they find happiness, I will never be able to understand why people feel the need to transition.

A friend of mine from Devon transistioned from ftm and I actually felt grief when he told me that he was going through with it - it was like losing a friend. Completely adore him, we share a birthday and he bailed me out many a time in my younger days.

While I don't fully understand it myself as I've never been through it I do think that if I woke up tomorrow and I'd been turned into a man I'd do anything to become a woman again: transgender people must feel that on a daily basis
