How you know you are returning to boot camp shape

For most of us the shape we left boot camp in is a mile marker. What clothing, fitness or strength marker are you hoping to reach or have you reached?

Yesterday I was going through my jewelry (which I never wear) and found my ring from boot camp. I was shocked that it fit already because I'm about 20 pounds from boot camp weight. I also found the jeans I bought after graduating and if I wasn't for slight muffin top (and rhinestones on the pockets) I could wear them.

I'm still hoping to pass a PFT, a CFT and a weigh in this next year, so those are my goals.

I am not looking to be the same weight i was when i left bootcamp. I was 145lb 29 inch waist and looked like someone should through me a sandwich. I think i want to eventually get down to my weight after Comm school. I was 180 and felt good. I could do my 20 pulls and sit ups and was running a 20 minute pft.. I would be happy with 10 pull ups 100 crunches total and being able to run 3 miles without an ambulance picking me up.
  • well I can put my Marine Corps Ring on now without soap and without my finger feeling like it is going to burst. As for pants I had 33 going on 34 I was only 18 so I was still growing a bit. I had a size 10.5 shoe and now have a 12 inch shoe. So the question is a relative one. I have a long way to go to be at a level to do my old PFT run time of 17.55 as for pull ups well I have much more weight to loose to pull even 10 sit ups are getting beter I had 88 which was 8 over a perfect number. Moral of the story I am enjoying watching the scale and inch in the mid section numbers drop. Semper Fi
