I am always looking for new recipes using essential oils. I used rosemary oil in two of my Thanksgiving recipes this year:

ROASTED BRUSSELS AND ASPARAGUS:
1lb fresh brussel sprouts, halved
1lb fresh asparagus cut into pieces similar in size to the halved brussels
2 Tbs olive oil
1 drop Certified PureTherapeutic grade ROSEMARY essential oil
Place all ingredients in ziplock bag. Roll around until veggiesare coated. Roast in oven on 350 until beginning to carmelize, or to desired doneness. Most of my guests had secondsand didn't even add salt! 6 of us shared this amount, with about 75 calories each :-) yum!

gained a diploma as an aromatherapist in late '90's and was taught not to ingest oils, but love cooking with herbs and it does sound good

there are oils that the feds have approved as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) to ingest. there is actually a growing number of people who cook with essential oils. The thig is, in order to retain the health benefits of the oils, you add them at the end of cooking, to minimize damage to the oils by heat. I also use oils in uncooked stuff as well.

Here is an addicting and delicious recipe, perfect for a potluck take along. It has the health benefits of greek yogurt (probiotics and protein, low fat) and the health benefits of lime oil (antibacterial**, antiseptic**, and mood elevating**), and the low glycemic index sweet taste of agave nectar. (honey can also be used) You can even add benefiber for an invisible and tasteless fiber bonus.

    Tart Sweet Fruit Dip:

(You can adjust the sweetness by adjusting the amount of agave. A smaller amount of honey may be substituted)
1 cup fat free plain greek yogurt
    2 tablespoons agave nectar
    2 drops lime oil

Mix together and serve with sliced fresh fruit, or try as a dressing for fruit salad. (sometimes I just eat it straight up, without the fruit)

You should only ingest oils that are properly sourced and processed. Most brands on the market arent safe because of chemical additives, even if they say pure. DoTERRA runs every single batch of oils through a mass spectrometer to make sure there are no contaminates. Most of their oils are ingestible. There are a couple of other companies that have some ingestible essential oils. Some things are just poison though, so you want to be educated on the types of oil and the brands and what they use to process them, how they process them, what parts of the plants they use, whether or not they add fillers (which are often petroleum based), and of course-whether or not that particular plant or oil is safe for humans to ingest. Many of the oils on the market, now that I have learned about what some companies do with their oils, I. Won't even use on my skin, let alone ingest or inhale them.

There are some kther reputable companies that are safe and careful, but I've been very surprised a few times when I had trusted a company and put a drop of peppermint on my tongue and had to immediately spit it out and brush my teeth because it was so bad, even though the bottle said it was pure.

I needed a bit of a boost one day, so I came up with this surprisingly tasty drink. Straight up vitamin b12 liquid is disgusting, but my body doesnt absorb the pill form. This is yu mmy...

2 oz lime or lemon juice
    Dose of liquid b12
2-3 drops Wild Orange essential oil (make sure its certified pure therapeutic grade, or a similar quality, see my other post reply about this)
    8-10 oz filtered water
1 tsp or so of local honey

Place in an empty juice bottle or water bottle and shake. You can substitute ice for some of the water if you want.
