What are Essential Oils?

"Essental oils re volitile liquids distilled rom plants...one of the factors that determines the purity and therapeutic value of an oil is its chemical constituents." (From the book called Modern Essentials). These constituents an be affected by climate, plant part, plant variety, gegraphical location, and distillation methods.
May oils that say they are essental oils actually contain some man made chemicals that mimic those of the eal thing. Others use oils that are dstilled at temperatures that are too high, or frm plant partsthat don't have the maximum benefit. Be sure to use high quality oils from trusted sources. Our bodies suck thse oils in like they are thirsty for them, and if they are contaminted with herbicides, poisons or impotent constituents, what's the point of sendng all that money and faith in them?
