Hi all,
I use to bring lunch to work daily but got really bored of it and so started buying instead. Anyone else doing the same? If so, what do you recommend? Most days I am so confused what to get as there are so many choices. Fyi, there are m&s, waitrose, boots, pret a manger and EAT within walking distance of my office.

Hi, If I am out and about and have to buy some lunch on the move , I find Boots really good. They do a meal deal that includes "shapers" . You can get sandwiches, wraps, drinks, and snacks..the snacks include fruit but also some chocolate bars. If you pick a main , snack and drink all from the shapers range it comes to 500 calories or less. Saves you doing the maths

Go to subway if you want a healthy option..
You can tell them exactly what you want in your sandwich..
It is a well known fact that pre packaged food is very high in calories..0 -

Sorry but I disagree, Subway uses processed meat - high in slat and low in nutrients.
Pret is pretty good, I often have the soups (eating Malaysian Chicken as I type) and the sandwiches are made fresh in store.
M&S do a range of healthy options particularly if you have a microwave. Boots do some good meal deals but the downnside is that you often end up eating a packet of crisps!0 -

there is a subway within walking distance of my office as well (forgot to mention it earlier) but i rarely go there as i find if i have the 6" sub i am still hungry at the end and the foot long is too big. also, i am tempted to have their chocolate chip cookie which isnt a good idea0 -

yes, pret does some great soups. i do prefer the soups in EAT though0 -
Loving the Shapers range at Boots, in particular the Turkey, stuffing & cranberry sarnie... it's a bit cheeky on the cals but tastes good As does the mint and chocolate nougat bar, also of the Shapers range (81 cals).
Also, if you have a Sainsburys close by, try out the chicken chow mein pot. Very low in cals but high in taste!0 -
yesterday i had a chicken, tomato and pesto baguette from waitrose and it was delicious. it was 490 calories!0
