So, I went for my first cross fit session yesterday! It was really fun! The one thing that really struck me was how NICE everyone was. Not at all like any "gym" atmosphere I have been in, which is why I swore of traditional gyms years ago. I am sore today, (yay!) and I cannot wait for tomorrow!

I've just done my third session tonight, and I agree, the atmosphere is great, everyone is really friendly where I go too.
  • I'm 3 months in and it just keeps getting better. I think I had to "earn" my respect at the box. Show them that I was going to keep coming back. Gradually they started seeing that I was in it for the long haul and started joking around with me more. Love it there!

How nice everyone is really why I wasn't nervous to move to Nashville. I initially was worried about making a social circle here in Nashville. I'm with a start up company, so there are only 3 of us in the office - no social group there. How was i going to make friends? CrossFit of course!

I've only been at the gym for 2 days and already feel like I've expanded my CrossFit family. And it's not because I'm the social butterfly type. CrossFit is a huge part of all our lives, so it's not just having something in common. In many ways we're the same people, so we automatically feel comfortable around each other. and i LOVE it.!
