Day nine

I almost forgot to make the daily post today!
Anyway, I found the shred much better today than the last few days, even though my leg is still sore. I just avoided jumping jacks after the warmup and did extra sets of jumping rope instead (and oh my calves were feeling the extra sets by the end!).
Excited about finishing the last day of level one tomorrow  New exercises to try, I'm really looking forward to a change
Oh and I have a question for you all: since my leg doesn't seem to be getting any better over the last few days, do you think I should take a day off after finishing level 1? I was thinking the exercises in level 2 are probably different enough from level 1 that it should allow that muscle to rest more and recover. What do you reckon? I only really notice it with the jumping jacks, I can manage everything else okay thankfully! :drinker:

My understanding is that Jillian did not mean for the shred to be done everyday. You're supposed to have at least one rest day a week... by all means- take it!0

Agreed! I think it is healthy to take a day off...allow your muscles to recover and repair. Jillian stresses this in her Ripped in 30 (a more recent DVD)...so GO FOR IT!
Good that you are modifying the moves that cause pain. I was having knee issues, and did the same...and now my knees are feeling better and I'm back to following the regular moves. As Jillian would say, "No injuries, PLEASE!!!"0 -
I took it easy today but made sure i did 100 crunches 100 jumping jacks and I did a pilates stretch at the end for the december biggest loser that's going on. I love 30 ds0

I've joined the group a little late (I've just finished day 2 of Level 1) and plan on doing it every day until Christmas. Nice to come here and see how everyone's doing. Will be posting here every day to catch up everyones progress.
Keep up the good work ladies! Just think of those party dresses! x0 -
Just finished mine!! It took everything in me to drag my butt out of bed to do it today - I was up until 3am doing a project for school, but thankfully today was the last day of the semester other than exams, so THANK GOD I will get more sleep which equals more energy for the 30DS!0

Good for you!!! So hard to workout when all you want to do is sleep...well done!
I just finished. Can't believe we are almost onto level two!!! I have a weigh in tomorrow for another challenge...here's hoping for a loss!!!!0 -
Way to go, It is sometime hard to find the motivation. I just tell myself "it's only 20 minutes" then by the time I finish the warm up I'm glad I did it!0
