   Hey... I keep hearing that these "Groups" make things a little easier or more convenient or something... so I thought I would start a couple of discussions to see if that is really true or not?!? So, bear with me... I just wanted to give this a shot, as I think that they added this feature due to requests. I guess we'll see?!?

Oh, and please invite any members that haven't shown up yet... I decided that I must be missing people on my friend list and therefore can't really say that I sent everyone an invitation. I will add more people on as the people who can do whatever it is called that you do... but I think any of us can invite people, right?!? I KNOW NOTHING... ha, ha, ha, ha!

Anyway - figured this would be a good general discussion thread... I thought that we'd just be able to post and have it be a running thing, but it appears that it is just going to be several discussion threads. Which is good too!

So I finally figured out that there is a GROUPS tab which makes it much easier to find you each day. I will do my best to check in often. I feel like I am back on track again. I'm back to my pre-thanksgiving wt and hoping to drop a couple more that I've been battling with for too long. I really want to reach onederland before the new year. I'm sure the holiday parties won't help but just because we are faced with 'food opportunities' does not mean that we have to partake. It's not going to kill me to say no, to turn down the candy and cookies, or to not order the appetizer just because it comes with the meal. I can drink iced water with lemon instead of that 2nd glass of wine and I can consider all the shopping good exercise. We just need to believe it to achieve it.

    I'm a believer!!

OK... so I feel like I have lost everyone?!? I don't really see any posts or discussions on our general threads... the older skinny chic one nor in here. I feel like I have been lost and am trying to be found?!? I miss you all!!

Nothing much to report on this end except that I am finally in Denver. Means that I have successfully moved my mother here for the next several months. YAY for this - it will help with my routine. My "best friend" that has lived one week with me, one week home, rinse, lather, repeat, will be staying with me for the last time upon my return from Denver. YAY, Double YAY! I just need to have my space and routine. Only one hickup still potentially in existence... my brother. He is having some trouble with being alone and with my mom moving away from my hometown, he is thinking he should stay more often. Major disruptions with him is that he always has candy around everywhere and oh yeah, none of them especially him contribute anything to the bills. So, I am hopeful that I can get him out of my house! Sounds horrible, but I have got to get my life back!

Hockey game tomorrow night, 5th row! Can't wait! Hope everyone is doing well...

Becky, hope you enjoyed your hockey game! I have to admit that I am not logging in as much as I have in the past because it has been really busy at work and I have been doing lots of holiday things at home. But I am still here.

Welp, I have recently realized that I am starting to skip some of my Curves workouts, which usually means that I am starting to get bored. I knew it would happen eventually. I am kind of sad because I really like the social aspect of it because I usually go at the same time on Mon and Wed and then at a different time on Fri and I have met a couple different groups of women that I have enjoyed working out with but if I am not going regulary then I suppose it is not effective. So, does anyone belong to a planet fitness gym? There is one right by my house. within walking/running and biking distance and I was checking it out a little online. It looks like there is your basic free weights and machines, quite a few of each of the cardio equipment (treadmill, elliptical, bikes) and an area set up for circuit training. There are no classes but for now I am okay with that. It also costs less than Curves (bonus). I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about planet fitness???Good or bad??

Haven't heard anything about that place... But can't help thinking that there may be some benefits to changing things up. I bought about Curves mostly for the camaraderie but decided to go with a gym vs a circuit. I wanted the cardio. Well the elliptical really, I know you get some cardio at Curves. Anyway I have lived it. Never pictured myself as a group/class kind of girl (mostly because of my size)... But love them now. It was about change for me... Gave me a push through where I had been. So, for me that was the benefit!

I kind of figured that too, It certainly won't hurt to change things up. I am actually looking forward to getting back on the elliptical. I actually learned to love that machine. Almost as much as I love my bike. I can't wait for the better weather already. LOL.
