Week 2 - December 4-10

Ok so week 2 is coming up on us pretty quick. i took a quick peak at the spreadsheet:

Looks like a bunch of us gained a bit of weight over the Thanksgiving holiday. Well, now is the time to change that. We've got a few weeks until Christmas/New Years which I know tends to be very challenging. So let's just focus on doing what we need to in order to lose weight or for some of us to maintain.
So question of the week is: what do you plan on doing to reach your goals during this difficult month?
I plan on really watching it these next few weeks leading up to Christmas week. I plan on continuing with exercise 6x a week. Continuing to drink my water. And finally start my protein shakes!

I plan to continue with my 3X per week walking. A girlfriend and I get up at 5:15 am and walk a 5 1/2 mile walk in about an hour and 15 min. It is so easy when the weather gets wet and colder to just sleep in, but I am going to keep it up all month long.
Besides that, I'm just going to try to make healthy food choices, but I am going to enjoy the parties and hope for no weight gain.0 -
I plan on trying to stay on track with my workouts and drinking plenty of water. I do pretty well planning my meals out if it's closer to the holidays bbuuuuttttt we'll see when it comes to Christmas treats! =/0

I am attempting to increase my exercise minutes each day with an AM/PM workout and increasing my water intake.

I plan on logging everything I eat everyday, making better food choices & exercise 4 times a week. That's my plan anyways.0

My plan is to get 45-60min of cardio in 4-5 times a week and really try to make smart food choices (every bite goes into the food diary!)
It is so hard this time of year! A co-worker keeps bringing me little holiday treats that she makes...I just ask myself if it's worth it. I work too hard on the elliptical to throw it away on some cookies!0 -

well you all, i decided that 1600 calories is not getting me to my goal so i am going back down and doing a zig zag for about a week. Here is some information about it:

Basically what I would do is alternate low and high calorie days to get my metabolism figuring out that i still want to lose a little more weight. it has worked for me before so i'm giving it a try again.0 -

I am planning on staying at or below calories. Exercise DVD 3 times per week. Drink at least 6 glasses of water daily. Back exercises 3-4 days per week & adding in some walking.

Not a good week for me from Nov 27-Dec 3. Gained 3 lbs. Too many days I was cheating. So many good things to eat at this time of year. Pizza, desserts, snacks. It seems like once I have one bite, it leads to more and more. My brain just shuts off and then I eat whatever. If I could just actually think before each bite I would have better control. I don't understand what happens. It is so frustrating.
I've got to do better this week. No excuses. I need to track and eat better. Cut out the dessert and snacking. Smaller portion sizes. No late eating at night. Not like any of this is new but maybe writing it down will make me do it.0 -

Week two is here already?! I realize this loss looks IMPOSSIBLE, but I swear it happened! I'm up a little bit today, which is unfortunate. I need to stay focused on my goals!

The additional water intake is really helping...i know my struggles will be all of the holiday parties lined up; I have one every weekend (Any tips for eating healthier at holiday events??) I will continue the exercise goals of AM/PM workouts...holiday shopping and walking through the malls has assisted me reaching my workout goals but I do fear that I will gain or lose motivation over the next few weeks...

Sorry I'm late here...I was thinking today about what my plan is to stay healthy throughout Christmas, especially since I will be at my Mom's and there will be lots of delicious foods! The awesome thing is that when I talked to my Mom tonight she said when she picks me up at the ferry, we'll do a big grocery shop on the way home to her place so that we can get healthy foods, and stuff I can eat (I'm celiac). I feel lucky to have an awesome, supportive Mom! Also, she's going to check out myfitnesspal too!0

Ultimate Goal Weight: 130 by my birthday 7/24/2012
I'm shooting for two pounds a week as an aggressive goal...aggressive is the only way I can take things on. Here are some other goals:
Drink between 64 and 85 ounces of water a day
Eat at least 2 cups fruit and 2 1/2 cups vegetables each day
Focus on nutrition, not calories
Work out at least 5 days a week for 30-60 minutes at a time
I'll have more goals later on because my dietitian will have more for me. Thanks. Good luck everyone!0 -
It was a great week. I am workiny my way through Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Today was D5L2. The scale has finally started moving again. I am down to 214.
