Hi Everybody,
Thank you for joining this challenge with me. I hope to learn more about each of you and keep you motivated along your way to reaching 75 miles.
So, if your are thinking, wow this 75 miles sounds daunting, please use me as motivation and know in the month of October I ran 100 miles and in the month of November I ran 150 miles (this does not include any walking/hiking that I did).... I feel that 75 miles is reachable if you set your mind to it.
Some key things I have learned :
One, break it down by daily or weekly mileage goals - much easier than focusing on the 75.
Two - try to get in a little bit every day, that way you don't feel the pressure of trying to log all your miles at the last minute.
Three, if you have a calendar, write 75 miles on it at the very start... Make sure to keep a running tally of how much you've gone and each day keep track of how much you've shuffled. It helps keep you on track and you can see how much you have accomplished. I use my desk calendar at work- I like tracking it and seeing how much I've accomplished.
Four, it feels fantastic to acheive your goal, stick with it, you are worth every effort.
If you have any questions or updates or victories, please feel free to share them on the message board here so that we can all share in your successes and help each other out.
Let's get cracking! Can't wait until our first check in this Saturday.

I am excited to be doing this. I have to walk it due to runners knee. I am also doing a 100 mile goal for running and a little over halfway there but I have to stop for 6 weeks so this perfect! Its really weird because I am not a structured person by far but I need something like this or I just slowly stop doing it.
Did 2.8 today0 -
Hi everyone!
This is a great challenge. I need something like this to kick me in the butt to get to the gym every day. Thanks for starting this.0 -
I love this! Great idea! I am in!0
-
OK....I'm going to try this. I joined a group that started this morning for people on the East Coast to exercise starting at 5:30 a.m. Currently, all I can do is walk as I fell and either broke or bruised a rib or two -- can't even think about bending over. This will be good.0

hi there

I started to chip away at my challenge by doing 1.65 mile walk at lunch time! This might not be so hard after all! Thanks Christi for doing this and the gentle "push"!0
