NSV - ( Non Scale Victories )

We've all been there, that dreaded plateau, the stopping point and for some the end. Those times where the scale just doesn't budge. It's always good to find other victories no matter how large or small to keep you motivated and moving forward.
Some NSV's for me have been going from a 56 - 58 pant ( I shivered when I typed that ), to a 44 pant and still going. Going from a 3X shirt size, to comfortably fitting into an XL shirt size and most importantly not having to be dependent on my diabetic and blood pressure medication. It's all under control with diet and exercise.
Please make sure while on your weight loss/lifestyle change journey that you don't focus solely on the scale and put more focus on every small victory you see and feel. I personally feel amazing and I take pride in the fact that I did it on my own, with so much negativity in my life that I'm amazed I even put any ambition to get started in the first place and the fact that I made the call and the first move.
What are your NSV's?
Be loud, Be proud and celebrate the small things because without the small pieces you wouldn't have a bigger picture.

Every time I complete a planned workout is a NSV.
Every time I swim a timed distance and I've improved.
Every time I ride the trainer for a certain period faster than before.
Every time I walk/run and survive to do it again in a day or to without a trip to the orthodoc.
Every year that passes without surgery (at one period of my life I had 7 surgeries in <7 years) is a big NSV.
Every day that I log everything.0 -
Mine would be still going down in inches. This past week no weight loss but 2 more inches. 6 inches and 12 lbs in 6 weeks.0

Running my first 5K race and finishing in 40:22 and not collapsing at the finish line!0

NSV: when I think I'm too tired to get up early to knock out a few miles with the pups, or it's been too long of a day to throw down an evening gym work, but I go get them done anyway!
I like this thread. Keep 'em coming, Arkansans.0 -
My most recent is just the fact that I haven't given up. I've become comfortable with the weight I've lost due to the fact my journey was to get off my diabetic and blood pressure medicine I shattered that goal quickly. I didn't start this to improve the way I look but, I have seen changes and it makes me want to continue. There have been times I have fell off the wagon but I have been getting back on and I owe it all to my amazing support system and soon to be wife, rinnismom, without her nothing matters. I have about 5 months to hit my goal of 235lbs and I will do it and I will make sure that the man she say I do to will be the man of her dreams.0

I am down one pants size this week! HUGE NSV for me!!!0

I had a bag of 5 slacks and 3 pairs of jeans that I haven't fit in for awhile and had planned on giving them away. The first pair of jeans I put on they fit. (no laying on bed to button them either) LOL. I will be trying a different pair of pants a day to keep up my excitement that I fit back into them and have lost the inches to do so.0
