Hi All,
I know that we are only 2 days into the month, but hopefully you are all off to a good start. I had a few short walks with the dogs yesterday, a nice 5.18 mile run today and plan on heading out to do the Manchester Santa Shuffle 5K with quite a few of my gal pals. We will be ten of a thousand santas running throughout downtown ManchVegas tomorrow afternoon. I think this will be quite a hoot. I already have the santa suit airing out so I'm ready to roll.
Tomorrow, is also a very special day for me because one of my friends is going to be running her first 5k- can you say excited!!! I cannot wait to run and cross the finish line with my her. I'm just so proud of her for taking on this challege.
Looking forward to seeing your numbers tomorrow!! If you are new to the Couch to 5K or would like to have your mileage broken up, please just keep track of what you do/how long you do it for and I'll keep a running total every week to see what percentage you're doing of what event.
Life is short, long may you run!!

So I am figuring out how easy it would be to fail at this, but failure is NOT an option to me. I have never had this problem before, but I was too sore to go to they gym last night (Fri) to walk/run my 5+ miles I normally do on the treadmill. I pushed my body to it's limit Wed night in Body Pump, which was supposed to be a challenge work out that night, and boy was it ever! Unfortunately I am paying for it now. Anyway, I have walked for two days totaling 3.28 miles and I am also doing the Santa Shuffle 5k today. So as I regroup, I still know I can achieve this goal and I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone as they meet their mile stones in this challenge! Good luck everyone! Oh yeah, and if anyone out there wants to find out what a bunch of crazy NH people like to do on a Saturday afternoon in Dec - think of 1000 runners/walkers going down the middle of a very heavily traveled road in Santa suits! I hope the thought at least makes you smile.0

I feel like a slacker, I've only gotten 11.28 miles down. I plan on knocking out 12 today to make up for it! December has just started off slow for me0
