Who's doing the Warrior dash this year and where?
I'm doing going to Hastings on Saturday the 30th, at 2pm!
I haven't decided if I'm going to do Hugo yet.

  • I am probably doing one this year with my sister in law and one of her close friends. They like to travel though, so we'll probably end up doing one outside of MN for kicks. Good luck and make sure to give us a race report!

I wanted to sign up last year but was too late. I plan to sign up this year for sure! It looks awesome!

I did the one in Hastings last year and it was a blast. I wish I had allowed myself more time to stay there but I had a date scheduled for the Twins game and had to book it out of there fast, barely washed off enough I had to sit on a towel in the car.
  • The Warrior Dash sounds awesome, but a little too hardcore for me. I'll be sticking to Team Ortho's Go Commando race.

Good luck on all your adventures!

Actually the warrior dash wasn't bad at all. They make the obsticals seem a lot worse then they actually are.
  • I did Hastings last year and had a super time. Ran it in 30:26 so I thought that was B.A. for me. I will be doing Hastings again this year Saturday at 12:30 (so i have more time to drink beer after).

I was in a heat that had a girl break her ankle, did any one else hear of any miss-haps?

I wanted to do the one on June 30th - but it is all full! so I guess I will wait until September!

When the Hugo one rolls around I will have two full cycles of P90X. I will start running in April to train. Thanks for the discount code.

I'll be running the Hugo one at 11AM. I'm running with my husband and 4 other people. Anyone else running at 11?

We did the Afton one last year -Sunday at 11. I didn't hear of any problems. I saw a few people getting sick after the low to the ground tent crawl. I landed on my foot real hard after my first fire jump and felt my knee kind of buckle. I ran around the 2nd jump. I was pretty disappointed about that. I thought it was kind of dumb how they had the fire at the end of a hill to begin with. Oh well.

How did it go for those of you who dashed this weekend? Was there anyone not dashing (walking between obstacles)? I think it looks so fun, but can't run too much due to my knees, both of which have had surgery.

It was brutal! Because of the hills I couldn't dash most of the time. I have a bad ankle, and feared twisting, or even worse. But it was fun all in all.

The hills are why I decided to register for the Hugo MN race instead. I did the Afton one last year and those hills killed me. I still managed to finish in 47 min but it was tough. I run this year in Sept!
