Charity should be unnecessary and irrelevent, but it's not.

Personal choice for everyone, but I do honestly think that we all SHOULD give to the less fortunate. To me, it's a moral thing, but I won't say that for anyone else it is.

The wealthy... SHOULD give, but I'm not going to say that they are terrible if they don't.

I am going to have some money some day, and there will be monthly donations to charities at that point. I was so happy to hear that those millionaires who won the lottery gave it to charity

Holiday obligation has nothing to do with the true charity I refer to. It is the antithesis of that.

I don't think most people feel its an obligation which is why I support social safety nets. I have known so many people who would have suffered greatly (as children) if they would have had to wait for personal charity.

I give, its part of who I am as a person. I have a nice life and I know exactly how lucky I am to have it so I give when I can.

Honestly, I don't care what people's motivations are for giving. If it's to make themselves feel better, fine. If it's to help others, fine. The thing that matters is that they are donating in the first place. I really don't care why.
