Am I weird for this? most people are afraid of ending up alone, but I would rather just have a house mate than dating. Less complicated, relaxed, and you aren't 'technically' alone.

    Nope...Everyone is different. If this is what you prefer than you just have a companion. I know a few people who dont really believe in dating/relationships/marriage.... As for me... I would want to get married but when that time is right...But of course first step..work on me/date....then down the line I will see what is for me.

    Smart girl! At your age, there is soooo much to see and do and experience in life. Plenty of time for a hubby down the road if you change your mind, or not :drinker:

    I'm not even considering the possibility of kids until I'm 25 or older.....another 6+ years....i feel better ^^

    I am just now starting to think about marriage, at 19 I was in a VERY serious relationship that messed me up pretty bad when it ended. I think taking time to get to know yourself as an adult, and figuring out exactly what you want in life is a good idea.

    I'm older (45) but agree. I know I do not ever want to get married again. I don't see the need since I don't want more children. I'm not averse to living with someone, but since I don't even have a boyfriend at this point I'm not really worrying about it yet. LOL

    Good for you for taking your time and being sure of what you want and don't want!

    Yeah I agree, I am 23 and I am so not ready to be married. My mom was married at 22 and had my sister at my age and to think about being married and having a kid at my age scares me. I am trying to find out who I am and love myself before I can let anyone else in my life.
