Vegan vs. Raw

I am new to the vegetarian, vegan, raw diet scene and a bit confused. We are primarily vegan for the last 8 weeks, trying to stay away from any processed foods. How does "raw" differ from vegan?

Raw foodist are generally vegan, eating fresh raw fruits, veggies, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, sprouts, seaweed etc. Some raw foodists are not vegan, as they may include raw goats cheese, raw honey etc or sometimes raw meat or fish (which I don't reccomend, but some people do it and that's up to them).
Vegans as you probably already know don't consume anything from an animal; meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, honey etc. But they don't limit themselves to eating their food raw.,. And vegans can include refined and processed vegan foods in their diet ie; bread, (vegan) noodles, .. SOME vegans also like to include soy products in their diet (soy milk, tofu, tempeh etc). As far as I am aware, a raw diet doesn't consist of ANY soy products.
Hope thatr helped.0 -
I would also like to add that its more about a whole lifestyle rather than just what you stick in your mouth;)
When i went veggie due to my wonderful daughter we carried on as before just meatless!
Then i met my husband and he condoned the use of wool, leather and silk too!!! It wasnt something as a busy mother i had considered!!, how remiss of me eh?
So now the whole family is vegan, any animal byproducts are totally excluded in our house, and i am dabbling with raw! I am currently 2/3rds raw, brekkie and lunch i can raw it as much as i like and dinner is cooked due to raw resistance from kids!!!!!
Its an amazing journey of self discovery and healing the earth too,
