@raqufern Welcome to the group! Good luck on your challenge
Worked out 2/2 days so far this week...that's the best start yet for me!!
Hopefully it'll put a dent in the 5lbs I gained eating sodium rich foods and drinking copious amounts of alcohol with @Jersey3025 on the weekend0 -
Yeah... this week's weigh in is going to be nasty... Tonight is our anniversary as well, and the fiance is taking me to an unknown location to celebrate it. You just KNOW that food will be involved. AND we're heading out right after work. No time to work out. BUT, it's our anniversary. And it's Christmas. And I've been doing awesome. I've got to learn that these celebrations are meant to be celebrated and not stressed over because of calories. This weight isn't going to stay off if I never indulge a little here and there.0

I'm pretty furious. Haven't been this ticked at the weight thing for a while. While I did go over two days this week (Saturday and Sunday), my Bodymedia Fit data has me sitting at a total weekly deficit of 2,998 kcals. Ya know what that means?! I STILL SHOULD HAVE LOST WEIGHT AND NOT GAINED! I would like to believe that this 0.8 lb gain is water weight, but I have been drinking water steadily. I have no idea what is going on, which adds to the frustration. Grr. Grr x 450,000. I am one unhappy duckling.
Weekly Success: Finding an important, life changing book.
Weekly Struggle: Workouts. Time. Frustration (currently)
This Week’s Personal Challenge: Chin up, drop gained weight, find time to work out despite an insane holiday season schedule.0 -
sorry for not posting my weight last week. I lost 1.6 pounds but forgot to post in time. I promise to post this week! In my defense, my usual check-in day is Sunday and I was busy as it was my birthday.0

W2(12/15/11):163.2

I am so excited because I’ve been stuck in the “164’s” for what seems like forever…definitely feels good to see that number
I really need to try to come up with a new schedule to fit my workouts in…with getting a new house, getting a new kitty and the holidays, it is so hard for me to find time for any type of workouts lately.
Awesome job on the losses this week!0 -

Week 17: 165.4

Total Challenge Loss: 27.8 lbs.
End of challenge goal weight: 165 lbs.
Weight Loss Remaining to Goal: -.08 That's right ladies and gents, there is a negative in front of that number. You know what this means...I didn't have enough faith in myself when I set my goal! So, after the Christmas holidays, I will be setting a new goal weight. Most like a 1.2lbs/week pace, maybe 1.5.
Having said that, I realized today, I have reached my pre-pregnancy weight...from 12 years ago!! **happy dance**
"This week is about exercising (again). With the holiday season rapidly approaching, if I don't get off of my butt...it will be rapidly expanding away" I had a great start to the week. I worked out on Sat, Sun & Monday...and that was itI don't know why this is such an issue for me. Other than Saturday, I didn't do any ab work, I suck at my weekly goals, lol. I don't think I've achieved a single on since the beginning of this challenge.
I've decided to change this weeks goal up a little. My goal this week is to do the best that I can. Make good food and exercise choices (especially with another work luncheon coming up and in the face of the roaster full of nuts and bolts that my Mother in Law made!) and get a healthy amount of sleep. Not let the stress of work deadlines and the holidays get to me too much and not to worry too much about my Mom's first Christmas alone. Not gonna lie, probably going to fail that last one...
All in all, I think I can do this one!0 -
This morning I weighed in at 191.8 I believe it's a small gain
I don't remember what my starting weight was, I'll have to look through the earlier posts.

Congratulations SpecialK on reaching your goal you set for this challenge, and for reaching your pre-pregnancy weight!!! that is definitely something to be proud of0
-
Great job this week ladies!
@Jazz- I went up this week too. It's okay! It's part of the roller coaster! Chin up!
@SpecialK- I can't wait to see you kick the new goal's *kitten* all the way to next year! Valentine's Day is going to be begging for mercy!!
I've lost my gain from Wedneday already. I KNOW that it's just water weight now. I had set a secret goal to achieve my 165 lbs challenge goal by January 1st, but it's not looking very likely anymore. That's okay though, it'll happen before Valentine's anyway! I am thinking that next week's challenge will be to come up with New Years Resolutions and post them here in the challenge. So get your brains working!!0 -
This Week: 141 lbs (1 lb lost)
Challenge Goal Weight: 135 lbs
Weight Loss Remaining to Goal: 6 lbs
Nice loss this week, but I'm worried it's a muscle loss -> no workouts except my weekly dodgeball game (plus my calorie intake should have me at ~0.3 lb/weeek).
No progress on the Group Weekly Challenge - was a struggle just to function so no new learning for me... will try to keep this in mind for the coming week to play "catch up"
Weekly Success: Using meal replacement shakes to keep calories under control when I'm on the road (just add water)
Weekly Struggle: Long hours at work = very little sleep, no workouts as a result
This Week’s Personal Challenge: Run or walk 3x, lift 2x
Waiting to hear back from the Dr. on my hip MRI results, they posted online but the radiology comments are too cryptic for me to understand whether the issue is actually in my hip, lower back, or mystery. Unfortunately my hip has been hurting quite a bit this week, in spite of a week off running :mad:0 -
11/21: 200.8
11/27: 198.8 (-2.0)
12/04: 197.4 (-1.4)

VDay Goal: 179
I have discovered that my body really needs to not be on a "diet". I watch my calories, went over technically three times (so missed my goal this week of only going over once) and yet running saved me and I still dropped almost 3 pounds. For me it's truly moderation and cardio exercise.
This coming week will be particularly challenging as we're doing our family Christmas in Victoria BC for the first 4 days. I'm taking my running shoes, and I'm planning on running at least once, but it's restaurants and high tea and Starbucks and it's important to engage with my family which means not being too much of an "I can't" while still being watchful. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks again to the group for the support and encouragement!0 -
Remember to get your weigh-in's in tonight, if you haven't already!
Chart goes up tomorrow!0 -
Thanks for the birthday wishes guys!
OK, I've gained again. In the last week, I've had my birthday, spent 3 days in Prague and had family round from Cyprus. I'm up 2 pounds to 212. December is a really hard time for me to lose weight....0 -
December is hard for everyone Panyg. Don't beat yourself up about it. This is an up and down journey. You'll be down again in no time.
I am making the chart now, so any weigh in posted after this post is likely going to be missed!0
