I think its coming to an end if the American people don't start paying attention and base their opinions on facts. We need to start defending ourselves politically against corporations and those that do their bidding.

The power is so sweeping that a president would be able to direct the military to use its powers within the United States itself, to lock up anyone deemed a threat without charge or trial.

aw geez, not this old line again?
The NDAA was tagged onto the military spending bill, which HAD TO passed, so soldiers get paid.
POTUS did add a signing statement to the NDAA, saying HE himself would not use those powers,
and later made his signing statement law, so future presidents couldn't either.

duh.
