I can't believe I've been on this site for 2 years and never joined a group before. Hello everyone. I've ran several 5k's and am currently training for my 3rd half marathon. My past 2 halfs, I never stuck with the training program. As of today I completed the 3rd week. I feel great!! Anyone out there happen to be training for the Livestrong Austin full/half marathon?

They just launched groups a few weeks ago. It started out huge, but everyone seems to just go to the message boards. There is probably a Texas group if you are looking for fellow Texans.0

I just joined the group today. I just started running this year, I have never been athletic and would never have thought that I could run any distance. I remember huffing and puffing on school runs, the stitch in my side, coughing and choking up afterwards . . .
Anyway, I have not run any races. One 5K fun run. But I've done lots of 10K runs and longer on my own, up to 21K a week ago. I started doing Galloway's walk/run intervals, and seem to have gotten slower instead of faster, but I'm hoping that's just because of the ice and snow!
I have a significant leg length discrepancy, but have never worn a lift, and that started causing me some problems in September. I now have a lift and have been getting my body used to walking in it, and plan to start running in it over the Christmas break, starting with short, slow runs.
