Hello Friends!
I got a crock pot for Christmas! I'm so excited. But I realize that I don't have any recipes. I need some. Do you have any favorites you want to share?

Love putting pork chops in the crock pot with a can of mushrooom soup (you could get low sodium) and a little bit of milk and black pepper and cook it on high for about 45 mins, then turn it down to low for the rest of the day.
Also, throwing a roast in there with a pkg of onion soup mix, and some water and letting it cook all day. YUM! (I make my veggies seperate)
Did you get that EatingWell link I posted on your wall? I don't think I looked at a single recipe on that link that I wouldn't eat! lol.0 -
I didn't get a chance to look yet. I am going to try this chicken my fiend told me about. A whole onion sliced thick on the bottom of the crock pot. Some chicken pieces seasoned how you like, and then like 40 cloves of garlic! I love garlic so it should be good. My plan is to make it Sunday.0

Okay I was looking for left over turkey recipes but found this crock pot one sounds good! I will give you the original and modified version
2 bone-in turkey thighs without skin (turkey breast)
2 (16 ounce) cans baked beans
1 1/2 cups finely chopped onion
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
8 potato rolls (whole wheat buns/rolls)
Directions
Place the turkey thighs or breast, baked beans, onion, barbecue sauce, yellow mustard, cumin, and salt into a slow cooker. Set the cooker to Low, and cook 10 to 12 hours. Remove the turkey thighs/breast, and shred meat using 2 forks. Discard bones. Return the shredded turkey meat to the slow cooker. To serve, place about 1/2 cup of shredded turkey and sauce onto each potato roll/wheat bun.

Yum! I have to got try the Turkey and the pork chops... Over the weekend I did Garlic Chicken.
Two whole onions sliced thick and placed in the bottom of the crock pot. Cut up one chicken and rubbed it with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika and I put that on top. Then I peeled two head of garlic and put those on top. Amazing fall of the bone chicken! And the garlic spread on some bread was sooo yummy!0
