    Okay, maybe this:

"try one new thing" each week.

Could be food or exercise related, or just something that makes us feel good....

Maybe water, exercise, logging/tracking accountability, or a particular program (I see a lot of Jillian's 30 day shred comments, so I just bought that.)

We could have Team Edward v. Team Jacob challenge or something... how cute would that be?? lol

That sounds like fun, but I'm not sure the teams would be even.

I can do the team challenge!
This isn't kickball, and we're not the poor fat kids that get picked last! :noway: This can be fun!

I have been thinking the team thing too but like this. I would call it Runs with Vampires/ Runs with Wolves. We would break into teams (no kickball picking), log all walking, running, treadmill, elliptical activity minutes, or anything else you wanted to include, maybe all minutes? At the end of the month then average minutes by # of members so teams won't have to be even and the most minutes wins. I like minutes rather than miles so people can go at their own pace/fitness level.

For food, since it is hard to get veggies this time of year, my thought was this: Pick one favorite veggie and eat at least one serving/day. Pick something either new or you haven't had in a long time and add at least 3/week. You get a point for your team for each serving of veggie eaten.

Also maybe a point for each 8 oz water.

At the end of the month winners will get a date with vamp or wolf or your choice. Ok, no promises on prize.

I added a January tab to the existing Excel spreadsheet so that we can get our tracking started. :flowerforyou:

let me know what i can do to help - setting up the chart or whatever. it's january 1 - should our first report be on monday, 1/9? i like the veggie challenge thrown in there - maybe i'll *finally* make some stir fry!

and for your hard work and dedication to team twilight and our january challenge, i hereby dually grant you both the prestigious ocd (obsessive cullen disorder) award, with all due priveleges, sweet dreams and bragging rights!!! congratulations!!!

    twihardaward2.jpg

ps~you can put me on team jacob all by my lonesome and i'll still move the world, so don't worry about even teams - we know we're the underwolves!

Ok, so this is what I propose.

    1. Earn one team point for each loggable cardio minute. Walking, running, swimming, 30ds, whatever. If you can log it as cardio then you can earn a point. Unlimited points

    2. Earn one point for everyday you eat at least one serving of your favorite veggie, sorry no ketchup:sad: . Really strive for at least one each and every day. Up to 7 points/week.

    3. Earn one point for each new veggie, one you haven't tried in a while or one you hate but know you should eat anyway. Strive for at least 3 servings of that type of veggie per week. Up to 7 points/week.

    4. 5 bonus points available for sharing a recipe including either your fave veggie or new veggie. Not open can and microwave, but somethng maybe we haven't tried before or especially a lightened up version of a classic recipe. 5 points available/week.

    5. Earn 5 points each day you drink 8+ glasses (8oz) water. 3 points each day you had 5 glasses and one if you had 1-4 glasses. Up to 35 points avaibale/week.

If that sounds confusing, it really shouldn't be. Most of these things should be easily tracked in your daily food and exercise diary. If you are logging it should be no problem.

Now I could use a little help. I have no idea how to make a cool chart. Stacy can you either make up one like you did before or should we do a 2nd page on our google docs? If we did it in google docs. Maybe have a weekly column like we do, but log something like this: 125c/35v/20nv/5r/40w
    c=cardio mintues, v=veggie, nv=new veggie, r=recipe, w=water.

*****If anyone has any ideas, suggestions or concerns please post here before end of day, otherwise I think it should become official so we can move forward with it.

edited to add: Oh and for goodess sakes, declare your team!!! Runs With Vampires here!!!

what about open can and put on stove top? does that get any bonus points?

for the chart, is it okay if we put our points in daily and add them up that way instead of waiting until the end to do it? i'm going to do that unless someone tells me it's cheating...

I don't see why not since the spreadsheet is easily edited. It's your line so do it however you want. We can add them up at the end of the month so just make sure everything is updated how you want it.

I started a new thread for the Jan challenge.

This is awesome... I love how you arranged the spreadsheet. Despite there being a lot of different aspects to it, it's well organized and not confusing. :)

To declare my team... definitely Vampires! One in particular, too. :)
