Okay the wait is winding down and we are getting closer and closer to the start of the competition. I know that we have a mix of different levels of experience within the group. I know a lot of you are new at this and want to prove to yourself that you can do push-ups. I want to take a moment and recommend a couple things and stress that you use proper form, learn it, practice it, know it. It can prevent injury!
It may be beneficial for you in this competition if you do not have the core strength to start doing planks, and or some of the many variations of the plank. I personally recommend that you do them at the end of each workout. 3 planks, hold for 60 seconds each. They are great for core strength.

I hope I can keep this up! I used to take a class at the gym and during the push-ups the trainer would tell us to get really low. He would say "smell the dna on the matt and tell me if a man or woman used it before you."
His class was so much fun, but he no longer works there, I have a feeling someone complained. haha0 -
We did planks in my bootcamp class tonight...they are tough!0
