Goals for Newcomers and Changing Goals

To keep this group open to new members throughout the year, I will be adjusting the goal for each new person who starts to the nearest 2,500 calories at the time they start.
For example, if someone starts on January 30th, their goal will be 100,000*(336/366) = 91,803 calories, which when rounded would be 92,500 calories - or roughly the same 275 calories per day as everyone else.
Also, for anyone who needs to adjust their goal (due to injury or other circumstances beyond their control), just post a message saying you need to change it, and how much you want to change your goal, and I will adjust it in the tracker.
For the overachievers out there, if you want to increase your goal, let me know as well, and I will gladly up your target (I know - I'm mean ).

Can we adjust our goal up or down at anytime during this challenge? Currently I do not get a very high calorie burn during my workouts due to knee issues and my thyroid problems (I'm hypo  ). I really want to try to hit the 100, 000 goal and I just started working with a trainer on my issues hoping to get my metabolism moving but I really will not have a realistic number that I can hit for a couple of months (currently tracking daily burn #'s). Just wondering . . . .0

I think that I want to up my goal to 150,000. That's an average of 3,000 calories burned per week for 50 weeks! I think that is do-able for me with a little extra push. I do not intend to count my regular movement... just the actual purposeful exercise. So, 150K for me, please!0

Yes, you can change your goal at any time. I want this group to be flexible and supportive, and it is easy to change a number on a spreadsheet
This means you can up it multiple times if you want, or if you find out your current goal is too aggressive, you can back it down as well.
100,000 is my personal goal, and the base goal, as for most people it is a stretch, but achievable number.0
