Who can actually see their goal weight?

I've wanted to lose weight for a long time... most of the time I never really tried though. My biggest success was losing 10lbs with weight watchers from February to about April this year. Then for whatever reason I just stopped and when I got on the scale after a few months I had gained back the 10 I lost plus 7 more! That's when I decided I really had to do something or I would keep on gaining and never get to where I want to be. Anyway... I know we're all supposed to be positive and know that we can get to where we want to be, but who can actually see themselves at their goal weight?? When I'm trying hard I know that I can lose the weight, but when I think of being down 50 pounds it seems so unreal. What about everyone else? Am I the only one? Lol.

I don't look at the big goal and i have about 45 lbs to loose now. You should know ffrom weight watcher to set yourself little goals???? They use 5% of your weight for the 1st goal and 10% for the 2 nd goal. These goals are reached much more faster than 45-50lbs goal so in return help keep you motivated. Make it more fun for yourself, your 1 st ten lbs you are going to buy YOURSELF anew shirt or pant or whatever. Next 10 lbs you are gonna buy those dress boots you always wanted or a skirt. Make it interesting and writed it al down. Don't think of it as losing 550 lbs think of it as losing 10lbs with rewards over and over ahain. :-) lol.

I know the old weight watchers, 10 years ago, they used to say when you lost 10lbs throughout your wardrobe and buy a knew one. This is kinda unreal for me...i don't have that kind of $ but there process is...as long as you have those " fat" clothes lying around the house.....theres nothing preventing you from growing back into them....with that said...if you have 50lbs to loose, treat yourself every 10lbs and maybe at your half way mark spoil yourself.

Just take it in small chunks :) 5 lbs at a time. Reward yourself after each goal. Its just human nature to need LARGE goals and SMALL goals. If you don't have a bunch of SMALL goals on your journey to your LARGE goals you will get frustrated, burned out, and you will ultimately give up. Keep up the great work, you've got this! :)

I know how you feel about the huge number being overwhelming.

Sometimes I feel like that too.. but with muscle gain and etc you may end up looking how you want before you reach your goal weight. It's one of those things we won't know til we get there. =]

I totally agree with the little goal increments! When I first started, I was 147 and had pretty much given up on ever losing the weight that had been with me for 4 years. I set my first goal at 130 - because I felt, even that was ambitious, considering I could never drop out of the 140s.

Early on I told myself that I didn't want to be deprived of good tasting foods, so I found ways to fit what I wanted into my day - it was like a puzzle. After the first month, I lost 7 pounds - a HUGE accomplishment for me. So I dropped my goal - 129. I just kept thinking how cool it would be to weigh in the 120s. When I lost another 6 pounds the next month, I could really start seeing a change. It was then that I began believing I could control this - I could envision myself at a healthy, attractive weight.

Currently, I'm working toward 120, but who knows, it could be cool to weigh, 119... :)

It really helped me to take pictures of my progress. The visual has been amazing. Feel free to check out the pics on my profile and best of luck to you!

I'm suppose to be betwee 115-155 for "healthy".... I haven't been fit since middle school. and back then i had no boobs. I guess that's why I don't have a clue what i'd look like at 155.

I really do think that because I have DD almost DDD boobs that I would still be "healthy" at 160.

All i know, is that i want no muffin top, no back rolls, and i want to see my belly button again lol a flat tummy would be nice too lol
