exercise and MH issues

has anyone noticed that exercise seriously improves their mental health issues? i used to never want to work out and now i feel even more depressed when i don't get to the gym. funny how things work...

  • Yes I always feel better when I get up and get moving. I don't know that it has a direct effect on my illness (sz) but it definitely helps my mood. It's difficult though cause when I'm doing poorly my anxiety goes up and I get too scared to go for walks or to the gym. Then my mood drops cause I'm not exercising and then I want to work out even less. It's a vicious circle. :)
    I'm a big believer in small victories. If I only feel well enough to go for a 10 minute walk I still praise myself for doing SOMETHING.
