Weekly Milage

My life has become busier and more hectic lately and the number of days I can run has been reduced. But I am still hitting the same milage amounts as before ( just barely). But it got me thinking, in terms of weight loss and running improvement, does it matter how many days you run if you are running the same amount of miles over the week? For instance, is their any difference between running 24 miles over 4 days compared to 6 days? Is a mile a mile?

I was doing 5 to 6 days a week and now I am doing 3 to 4 but with just slightly less total overall milage.

It's always better to run shorter distances more often than longer distances less often, but 4 days is still good. Now if you're getting into 2-3 days with increasing mileage then you're asking for injuries.

I'm up to 31 miles and run 6 days a week.
