Hello all! I am a mom of 2 littles, my oldest is 29 months and my youngest is 6 months. I am really struggling because I have been pregnant or nursing for the past 3+ years and have not been watching my diet at all. I was 155-160 before pregnancy but I got pregnant in december the first time and had rocketed up to 170 that holiday season. I gained 30 pounds with that pregnancy and went to 180 after. I had just started a diet and got pregnant again while weighing 176. I gained 30 pounds with that pregnancy too and currently weigh 181. I really want to get back to the150s so my clothes fit me again! I hate having to wear tent dresses or maternity jeans (all of the new weight decided to have a party in my stomach, so I pretty much still look pregnant).

I'd love to meet friends struggling with the same issues. I am also breastfeeding the newest little.

I was also 155 -160 (150 is my ideal wight so I looks good at 155) before having my son who is 7 months now, I am now 166 and want to be back to 155lbs. I would like to meet this goal in a month or so. I am also breastfeeding. I just make sure that I get around 71g of protein a day, that is the required intake for breastfeeding mothers. I stay around 1600 calories a day with exercise. I try to burn about 300-500 extra calories a day with activities such as carrying around my son, walking, swimming, exercise classes, at home workouts, parking the car far away from the store, carrying my son in a carrier while shopping. Also keep in mind that breastfeeding a 6 m or older baby burns an extra 300-500 calories, so we have an advantage to losing weight fast and healthy. I try to eat healthy, but if I want some pizza I don't bet my self up over it, I just count the calories... It is working so far I started at 170lbs and in less than two weeks I am at 166. I am hoping to be 165-164 next week. My way may be extreme, because I am giving my self a month or so but I am sure you can do it slower if you want. it would be great to work with you as a team and who ever else to meet our goals, and to stay with it.

I am in the same boat! When I gave birth to my youngest in my I was 208 :*( My normal weight is around 145-150ish. That is when I am my healthiest, and where I tend to gravitate to. After Thanksgiving (where everyone told me I looked pregnant, ugh) I started my diet. I was around 196 when I started and now I'm at 174. I'm not really taking anything out, just eating less. If I want a piece of chocolate, I count it. Same with pizza...I just balance it out. I also swapped out eggs in the morning for my bagel and uh..the occasional micky d's. So gross but I would eat one a week! I also have been drinking green tea. When I started my bp was 145/90....now I'm back at my normal 110ish/60-70. I feel a lot better :) You can do it!

Sounds like me. Oldest is 4yo and youngest is 5 weeks tomorrow.

I put on 30kg with the oldest. Just started loosing weight while TTC when I got pregnant with the youngest.

I am breastfeeding the baby but still planning on loosing weight.

Feel free to add me if you wish
  • I can completely relate! I have 5 little ladies, but the first 3 I had in less than 4 years. My poor body was wrecked! Even now with our newest (and last) little one, I'm around 157-158ish. But I need to be around 130lbs. Diabetes and other weight related health issues run in my family. So it's really important that I stay on the low-middle of healthy weight. Feel free to add me as a friend! I think we can always use more support. It's a hard journey, but TOTALLY worth the work!! :)
