I read all the scriptures that speak of confidence. I found a few that I like more than the others I will share here but while I was doing that something told me to look at self-esteem and that to me made looking at confidence with a different view.
Confidence: Faith, trust, assurance, believe, trust in God
Dictionary- feeling or belief that you can rely or trust someone or something
better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man, Ps. 118:8
I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you, 2 Cor. 7:16
I have confidence in you through the Lord, Gal. 5:10
In whom we have … access with confidence by the faith, Eph. 3:12
we have confidence in the Lord touching you, 2 Thes. 3:4
condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God, 1 Jn. 3:21
confidence wax strong in the presence of God, D&C 121:45
Self-esteem:Self-Image ( man, a spirit child of Heavenly Father, Potential to become like Heavenly father, worth of souls)
Now the dictionary leaving God out of the description- in ones own worth or abilities- self- respect SEE PRIDE
Pride: pleasure of ones self achievements
See What happens when we leave Heavenly Father out of it. It turns into pride and is no longer about the worth of your soul.We can not have self-esteem without Heavenly Father.
