Worried about a friend...

Hi guys-

First off, a massive massive hello to everyone (even to those not on my friends list!) I took a break from mfp over christmas due to a combination of travelling, lack of technology and personal problems. Its all sorted now, and im raring to go! So pleased everyone else is doing so so great, and its nice to be getting back into it!

Secondly- Im looking for advice about a friend at my uni, Im not sure if its okay to post here but I suppose as its a weight loss site, its appropriate. Anyway my friend at uni is the sweetest girl bless here, and she's tiny. Probably about a size 10/8,. I dont know how much she weighs but since October she's been pushing and pushing herself to do loads at the gym (the other day she did 17 miles on the bike + running and was complaining about being exhausted), is a member of the TA (so extra calories out on top of her daily gym routine). Shes also not eating healthily, she eats three meals a day but theyre far too small, she wont eat unless she knows the exact amount of calories and wont eat anything unless she's prepared it. She weighs herself every day and complains if the number hasnt gone down day to day!

I know that might not seem too extreme, but this girl really is tiny! And im worried shes pushing herself too hard, almost verging on an eating disorder. Does anyone have any tips about how to to try and talk to her? Ive tried in the past but she is getting worryingly thin.

Sorry to impart my woes on everybody but I thought I might get some original ideas here!

Sorry hun but I don't really have any advice except that she needs to recognise that she has a problem first. When I was far too thin, doing far too much at the gym and eating far too little there were a few close friends who tried to tell me but I wasn't trying to hear that - I felt great, even when I was injured and I was still trying to lose 10kg. I just figured people were used to seeing me a bit bigger. In hindsight, I am grateful that they had the guts though. Good luck :flowerforyou:
