I been an MFP member since Sept. 2011... In the beginning, i set my goal to 1300cals (lose a pound a week). Then, I hit a plateau after 3 weeks. Then, I started reading binformation about plateau. They suggested that I probably placed my body to a starvation mode. To get away from it, i should put my goal to maintain my weight for a week and that was 2.5 months ago and I was successful and I never changed it back or changed anything.
Pretty much, I let my exercise and activities decide how much I lose in a week. My daily goal now is 1720cals (lightly active, maintain weight). I eat all 1720 but don eat back my exercise back. Sometimes, i just have to but i make sure it doesn't go over my goal so i don't gain any weight.
I'm glad Ifound this group today. Other MFPers doing samething I been doing for awhile. I thought i was the only one....
