I started working with a personal trainer who recommended that I start doing strength training 2-3 times a week and cardio on different days 4-5 days a week. The strength training days would be routines she would give me with a different routine each thursday. Sorry if this gets long.

Thurs : strength
Fri: Insanity
Sat: strength
Sun: Insanity
Mon: strength
Tues: Insanity
Wed: Cardio Recovery
Thurs: strength

Wednesday would always be cardio recovery since I work with my trainer on Thursdays and then the other insanity days would rotate the videos following the schedule.

I have always been a fan and user of P90X. I recently started P90X2, one of the big changes is the lack of hard cardio. So I also invested in Insantity to make a hybrid workout between P90X2 and Insanity. I am able to get in 3 or 4 double workout days, back to back on the weekends or AM and PM on workdays. So far I love it and the Insanity has shown me I am not in as good of shape as I thought! I love it! I can run and run but this is totally different type of workout. Hope you enjoy and have great success!
  • There are P90x/Insanity hybrids have you checked around? I LOVE IT!!!! I believe it's the perfect combonation.
