I'm so bored and I really don't feel like working. Plus this group needs some activity!

So let's have a general gaming discussion thread! I want some good conversation to help waste my time at the office ^_^

Hm....how about upcoming games/newly released games. What are you most excited for or what are you playing non stop right now because it just came out? And to get a discussion going, why are you so excited?

I'm very excited for ME3 and Max Payne 3. Max Payne is just a blast to play and has some great lines of dialog from the junkies. Anyone remember from the first game, "I think I died. I think I'm dead! The flessshhhh, the flesssshhh." So great.

ME 3 is just going to be amazing, I'm sure. I'm a little hesitant about the multiplayer aspect. This is an old discussion, but I just hope that the campaign doesn't suffer from this addition. ME has always sufficed as a single player experience for me and I don't want to lose that connection in the final installment.

Feel free to add your thoughts on what I mentioned, or start something new!

Mass effect 3 should be pretty good.

I was sitting across a piano room today and some kid walks in and bashes out the fight music from ff7 and im just like and he walks out and says' its some weird chinese music'.. im like chinese..? weird?? wha.. so much wrong!
so that was my day.

I just started playing God of War 3. It's a good hack and slash. If you've played any of the previous games then you know what it's about. Truth be told, it feels like all the other God of War games... but with awesome PS3 visuals. It's still a solid game. The only thing that annoys me is the sound. I want to turn up the volume and my wife complains because she doesn't like falling asleep to the sounds of decapitation in 5.1 surround sound. I need some headsets.

For PC gaming, I've also dusted off Warcraft 3. I've told myself that I won't buy Starcraft 2 because I don't like how they've broken up the game. I like playing the campaigns. Anyways, Warcraft 3 is tiding me over until Blizzard bundles it all together and stop with this nonsense. I'm looking forward to Diablo 3. Skyrim is on my list of games to get after I hit some goals.

Max Payne 3 looks good but I don't feel like playing the previous games to catch up on the series. I'm really looking forward to the Metal Gear game that's coming out this year.

As for playing online, I try to play FPS's online, but I keep getting my butt kicked by 10-12 year olds.

I loved FF7 on PSP. It's a great way to pass the time when stuck on a commuter train or waiting for a flight. It was true to the original.

I also picked up FF Tactics for PSP. I didn't realize how much I missed this game. I love the new FMV's in the PSP version. It was definitley an improvement on the original.

My favorite Final Fantasy was 8. I'm looking forward to the next game, I actually semi-liked 13 enough to 100% it on PS3. This one is supposed to be better from everything I've heard.

Can't wait for Diablo 3 like most people and Mass Effect 3.

Excited for Diablo 3. Going to need to behave with my playtime since a big reason I got as big as I was because of too much games and not enough physical activity. 1hr play time per 1 hr of excercise I do.

That's a good strategy for working out. I'd be working out 4 hours somedays though haha.

I'm definitly excited that Diablo 3 is coming to consoles. I only played PC when I was younger and I don't own my own computer right now so no PC gaming for me! It's a game I'd love to check out so I'm glad I'll get that chance.

Diablo 3. And FF13-2 (I'm hoping for some cool improvements).

I would say that there hasn't been a good Final Fantasy since 9, when the last one you completed was only 7, is pretty harsh. I personally adored X, a lot, and so did many others. I'm pretty sure that it's my favorite. 12 was AWFUL.

I feel like ive cheated myself so much joy. The only Final Fantasy ive played is 2,3, and 4. They were awesome.

God, i have so little games to catch up on and much time...wait strike that, reverse it.
Im still on mass effect 1 '__'

Just picked up Gears of War 3 (and a new tv ), looking forward to getting into that this weekend. Probably pick up Halo Reach again too. But I always play with my best friend who lives across the country so it's all about the commentary.

Other than that I haven't played much lately. Spent waaaaay too many hours on WoW and gave that up recently. Was taking too much time I didn't have and everything changed too much. I miss the beginning days ... it was so much more fun back then.


Oh and I am majorly trying to procrastinate, but I know I have sooo much to get done before the day is over. 3-day weekend here I come
