As a trained vocalist, I can tell you that breathing in cold air when walking is really bad for you. Running is even worse. If you really want to run outside, the best thing I can tell you is to wrap a scarf completely around your nose and mouth, because then you'll be breathing in warmer air. I don't run outside when it's cold.0

I run in the cold all the time. It was in the 20's with icy roads this morning. I ran with a buddy and we got in a little over 6 miles. I've been running in the cold and snow since last winter. Your lungs get used to it after awhile. Some of my friends wear something over their faces. It depends on what works for you. I'd never give up my runs for the cold or a little bit of snow. This week I got in 40 miles in the cold.0
