Does anyone panic?

Does anyone ever feel almost in a panic to eat anything they can get their hands on? Is it just me? I have plenty of protein in my diet but I feel almost frantic to eat!

    I certainly have had panic issues - not triggered by food, but agoraphobia had me in its grips for many years. I imagine it's a similar thing - where people may look at you and say "why don't you just relax?" but the body has its own VERY different idea. It is frustrating to know that you're reacting "too strongly" to something and yet you do it anyway.

    How do you manage it when it hits? I mean, how far in might you be before you realize you're doing it? Maybe if you kept a log of when it happened and things that might have been a factor might help you pin down what the real cause is?
