determining maintanance calories

Hey so I realized that previously I had manually input my maintenance calories last time from a website. Then when I lost weight I realized I could just set MFP to "maintain my current weight". The thing is, even though I lost weight, the MFP estimate was over 100 calories more per day than I was previously eating. (Which over a week, adds up)
I tried using google and had difficulty finding a straight answer, do you know what formula would lead to the most accurate maintenance calories?
It looks like MFP uses the harris benedict equation when they calculate maintenance, (but they use mifflin st. jeor for BMR?)
I guess I could average them if all else fails.
http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm the site I used to calculate, it gives the numbers for multiple formulas. PS. I love it in terms of generating a calorie zig-zag.
Thanks for your help!

Any calculation or method is going to be an estimate. I like this website: http://calorieline.com/tools/tdee0
