New here. I'm 26 years old, been diabetic almost 20 years. I use an Animas Ping pump :)

I'm trying to lose a little over 20lbs.

    Hi and welcome! Two months and eight days until I'm at 20 years! I am using MDI presently, but have been on a Medtronic Paradigm pump the past four years. Erin

    Hi KLK,

    Welcome to MFP!! My name is Diane, I've been type 1 for 39yrs. I take injections 4 times/day. I have had several Endos over the years & not one of them has ever recommended a pump~~don't know why! Im glad you are trying to keep your weight down & lead a healthy lifestyle while you are young. I think I lived in denial for many years when I was younger (too much to do with 3 young kids to worry about me) & I have paid the price for that in recent years. Taking good care of yourself n.ow is wonderful!!!

    If you don't mind a friend old enough (almost) to be your grandmother, please friend me. Encouragement & support for each other is so very important!

    Hi! I've had type 1 for almost 22 years (MDI) and I've been on MFP for a little over a year. I've considered a pump in the past but never went through with it!

    Hi! I've been diabetic since I was 24 (18 years ago) and have used a pump for about nine years. SO much better than the years I spent taking shots every day! I have the Medtronic Paradigm. Please friend me here if you'd like the support!
